There's an old African proverb that has always resonated with me:

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

I've carried that philosophy throughout my life, and it's at the heart of why I founded Beacon Senior Health Advisors.

Over the years, working with older adults and their families, I've learned that helping someone make an important healthcare decision requires more than knowing insurance plans. It requires patience, understanding, and a willingness to listen.

That's what the proverb means to me.
